A ‘Thing’ Beyond the Expression of the Body: “Living Body and Its Second Nature”
Yigen founds his way of thinking concerning ‘human’, which has an important role in the fictional dimension of these works, and art through existence of perception in the body. Also, he describes each act which becomes apparent and generates meaning through artistic creation process as ‘body’. He aims to create a new expansion while scrutinizing in conceptual context the situation that psycho-physical existence of human transforms into body with an understanding related with the ‘real’. This expansion is also a situation in which the body witnesses only a situation out of ‘soul and body’. It is important to become aware of sensations. In some sense, it is the situation in which works turn itself. In this respect, Yigen performed his works with the thinking that the body must be in motion with the multidimensionality and multiperspectivity of interiorized object (from the viewpoint of subject communicating expressively with the external one, space, size and world). Exactly at this point; the real nature of the human, the “Second Nature” concept which distinguishes human from other living beings, be engaged in and so, human comes to his Second Nature which is changing gradually and becoming meaningful along with culture and his own being.
